I don't usually care for forwards but I found this one to be really good so I will use my Xanga page to share it.  Enjoy!

Enjoy the Coffee...

A group of alumni, highly established in their careers, got together to
visit their old university professor.

Conversation soon turned into complaints about stress in work and life.

Offering his guests coffee, the professor went to the kitchen and
returned with a large pot of coffee and an assortment of cups -
porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal, some plain looking, some expensive,
some exquisite - telling them to help themselves to the coffee.

After all the students had a cup of coffee in hand, the professor said,

"If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were taken up,
leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it's normal for you to
want only the best for yourselves, that's the source of your problems
and stress.  Be assured that in most cases the cup itself adds no
quality to the coffee, just more expense, and in some cases it even
hides what we drink.

What all of you really wanted was coffee, not the cup, but you
consciously went for the best cups ... and then began eyeing each
other's cups.

Now consider this: Life is the coffee: the jobs, the money and the
position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and
contain Life. The type of cup we have does not define nor change the
quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we
fail to enjoy the coffee.

nice. however, if you drink coffee from a paper cup you'll get burned ;).

That's cool, unless your cup is made by Kawasaki, then your coffee's gonna be horrible no matter who makes it.

Juuuusssssssstttt Kidddding!

Excellent!  It was a fine choice.  I'm still crossing my fingers that if ever we do actually meet you're still offering rides.

Now Friend, do me a favor and read my Xanga.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!  And yes, we DEFINATELY should talk about it in person.  It's about time I met the famous "BK!"  I've heard many good things from the Binkleys.

I'm definately going for a used one!  They run around $2,000 at the moment which is all I can afford unfortuantely.  I don't want anything older than a 2002 though.

The GS500 is a good bike.  Actually, most of the Jap bikes are.  I'm just more of a cruiser girl.  Plus, Derrick and Talon can fix whatever inevitably goes wrong with a Harley made bike.

So, let's talk some time.  My # is 270-871-2928.  If it wouldn't be weird, why don't you give me a call sometime when you're going to work on the bike with Carlton.  That way, maybe I can further my education too.

Oh, and to answer your question, I'm 5'9".  I've sat on the blast and I'm comfortable with the size.  I honestly wouldn't have minded the seat being a bit higher.  I also like the fact that it only weighs 360 lbs.  That's still probably too much for me, but much better than any other steel frame I could find.  Cheers!

Indeed...a weaking I am and a light bike is much needed.    How much does your bike weigh?  Also, why do you usually post between 4 and 5am?  No one should have to be awake at that time!  Just curious...Cheers!

Hehe...well, that's a relief.  Your 10:00 is my 7:30.  I wonder why that is...Oh well!  They have a 2002 purple Blast on ebay right now, but it's in Florida.  There's no way I'm asking Talon to let me take his truck there though.  Have you ever shipped a bike?  I'm seriously thinking about it, but I don't know how well it works.  Cheers!

The flying is an intriguing idea that I hadn't considered.  If the offer is too tempting, I might go for it.  You're right though...I'm sure there is one somewhere closer.  I'm just so anxious to ride again!  Well, at least, not as the passenger.    I do appreciate the help!  So tell me Friend, why is life so busy?

Again, you rock my socks off!  Thanks so much!

Those are all fitting things to be busy with.  Especially when they don't actually get you up at 4:00am!    What church do you go to?

Ninja 250 is actually my second choice if I can't find a Blast that I want soon.  What year is the 250 and how many miles are on it?

Cheers!

Oh, Hardin!  I guess that's how you know the Binkleys?  I've been wanting to check it out sometime soon.  Due to  unfortunatecircumstances, I'm looking for a new church home.  I haven't been to Hardin since my freshman year.

Well, I don't know about the 250 for me, but I told one of my students about it and he's interested.  So, if your friend really wants to sell it now, I can share with him.  Cheers!

Oh fun!  I didn't realize you all ever worked together.    I'll definately come sometime.  I'm not going to be in Murray through a weekend until the middle of October, but hopefully then or some Wednesday.  Have a good day!
